An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Diesel Truck Mechanic in Brisbane, Queensland. We are seeking a skilled and reliable candidate with strong technical knowledge in heavy vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs.
Preference will be given to candidates who are already working in Australia and looking for employer sponsorship. Suitable overseas candidates may also be considered.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair and service diesel truck engines and related systems
- Inspect, maintain and repair all major truck components, including transmission, suspension, steering, braking and electrical systems
- Carry out fault finding using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment
- Perform routine servicing, preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs
- Test and inspect vehicles to ensure repairs are completed to required safety and performance standards
- Conduct road tests where required to confirm mechanical performance
- Complete job cards and service reports accurately
- Maintain a safe, clean and compliant workshop environment
Selection Criteria
- Relevant qualification as a qualified Motor Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic
- Certificate III, Certificate IV and Diploma in Automotive
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
- Proven ability to diagnose, repair and service trucks and heavy diesel vehicles
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Suitable and valid driver licence
- Good English communication skills
- Dealership experience will be highly regarded
